Art Of Namma Bengaluru!

Who doesn’t love street art?

It just lifts our mood while we’re walking on the streets of Bangalore.

When you’re in the city of Bangalore, surprises are lurking around the corner. You never know what you might run through inside the numerous ‘mains’ and ‘crosses’ of Namma Bengaluru!

A bunch of small but immensely talented artists of the city have breathed a new life into the empty streets and boring lanes of this city.

One fine Sunday morning, I went for a bike ride around Bengaluru and ran across a flurry of street art. The city became its own art gallery, with each painted wall giving a glimpse of a talented artist’s mind. It forced us to take pictures.

The first picture was taken near the Cubbon park metro station that lies in the heart of Bengaluru. Just after the construction of this station, a bunch of people came together and painted tree-like structures on the wall.

The second picture was taken on Kasturba road that lies in the famous MG road.

This picture spins the tale of Bangalore with its vibrant colours!

The project was brought to life over 10 days by Aravani Art Project, a city-based cis and transwomen art collective. The artwork is titled Story of Bangalore.

Now comes Church Street! The street that every person in Bangalore absolutely loves. This street is filled with a ton of graffiti that represents life as a whole. It adds a whole new vibe to the entire place and it’s one street everyone must visit.

The amount of aesthetic pictures you get there, oh don’t get me started!

And lastly, Indiranagar! There is nothing that you cannot find in this area. With a ton of restaurants, this picture was taken outside ‘Communiteeeee’ a famous resto bar in the heart of Indiranagar. As we all know, Indirangar is the street for late night Friday evenings with a number of bars. This art represents the nightlife of Bangalore along with a few bar puns. Everyone who walks past this art always passes by with a smile.
